Foot Pain & Problem

Chronic foot joint pain

Condition

“The foot joint hurts after a long walk”

“Foot pain with no identifiable cause”

“It starts to hurt when getting tired”

“Pain begins immediately when playing sports.”

“The joint makes cracking sound when rotating the ankle”

These are the main complaints of people with foot joint pain. This is because the ligament to support the foot joint is too loose. Early treatment is necessary as slackening of foot joint causes the distortion of the body.

Cause

When functioning correctly, the foot joint is capable of enduring a 10,000 step walk. However, with bunions or ungrounded toes, the foot joint is twisted continuously as the toes rotate outwards while walking because the toes are unable to grab the ground firmly.

This motion loosens the ligament holding the foot joint and with the torsion stress accumulating, the foot joint reaches its fatigue limit state, causing pain after playing sports or even small stresses.

The loosened foot joint causes extremely imbalanced walking and the distortion of the body. In women especially, the neck balance compensates for the imbalanced body, triggering autonomic imbalance, depression, panic attacks and other problems. Early treatment is crucial.

Treatment

Please see a specialist for chronic cases and before the condition worsens.

Bandaging the foot joint for 1 to 2 months is crucial for improvement because “Rest (recovery) has to exceed load (destruction)” on the injured area. This is to say, “For healing, the injury needs more time to be spent resting and recovering than further injuring the area.”

Chronic cases and advanced cases with born spurs on the heel will take about a year for recovery.

To correct the sole balance and enable straight walking, use the Kasahara Taping Treatment (for pain-free cases) or 3-toe socks can be used as substitutes. When using 3-toe socks, the bandage treatment should be done before wearing 3-toe socks.

For mild cases, wear the heel lock supporter daily. For moderate cases, to stop the twisting (torsion) of the ankle, the heel lock should be worn in addition to fixing the foot joint with a bandage.

To protect the injury from excess shock and torsion waves, use the seismic isolation insole (artificial muscle insole).
